The best overall Android smartwatch
OnePlus Watch 3
- Classy design
- High quality materials
- Fantastic performance
- Long battery life
- Comprehensive health and fitness features
- Only one size available
- Cheap, awkward charging puck
Specification: | |
Case size | 47mm |
Battery | 3 days (heavy use) 5 days (smart mode) 16 days (power saver mode) |
Connectivity | Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi |
The OnePlus Watch 3 combines the look of a regular watch with seamless health tracking. It comes in Obsidian Titanium and Emerald Titanium, with matching wristbands, a 47mm stainless steel case, a crown sitting at an angle at the two o'clock and a protruded section of the bezel around one of the buttons at four o'clock mark, giving the watch a unique design.
This watch has a new feature never before seen on other smartwatches, simply called Health Check-in. With just the press of a button, it performs an ECG and reads your heart health, blood oxygen levels, wellness, and wrist temperature, as well checking for arterial stiffness -- something that no other smartwatch, not even the Apple Watch, has ever done. It helps give you a comprehensive view of your overall health in 60 seconds or less to share with your doctor if something comes up.
The Health Check-in feature also takes your mental health in consideration with 360 Mind and Body. It has an emoji feature that illustrates your emotional state as well as a scale that rates your mental state, and gives you personalized mental health care based on those ratings.
The battery life will make you want to wear the OnePlus Watch 3 all day and night most days. It lasts five days if you put it in Smart Mode, but otherwise it goes for three days. Or four days, if you're lucky. And that's if you keep all the power intensive features on, including the always-on screen, heart rate tracking, and the breathing monitor.
The best runner-up Android smartwatch
Google Pixel Watch 3
- It finally comes in a bigger size!
- Gorgeous, well-made hardware
- Smaller bezels, more display
- Well over 24-hour battery life
- Excellent running features
- Robust health tracking
- Reliable and easy-to-use software
- Underside scratches easily
- Some Fitbit features require a subscription
Specification: | |
Case size | 41mm 45mm |
Battery | 24 hours (always-on display) 36 hours (battery saver mode) |
Connectivity | Bluetooth, Wi-Fi |
The Pixel Watch 3 is everything its predecessors are and much more. For the first time in the series, it gained a 45mm case as an option for people with wrists too big for a 41mm body, but it's still just as lightweight as the smaller case so users with smaller wrists can wear it too if they like the bigger screen size.
The screen on the 45mm watch is big enough for you to read text messages, notifications, and workout stats off of it than you would on the 41mm screen. The bezels on the smaller watch shrunk by 16% compared to the Pixel Watch 1 and 2, which were huge.
Aside from its link to the Fitbit app, which still requires a subscription to access certain features (unfortunately), the Pixel Watch 3 comes with Cardio Load and Readiness, two new health metrics that give you a better picture of your overall fitness levels. Cardio Load takes the day's workouts and movements and compiles them into a number rating -- and gives you a goal to reach every day after two weeks of wearing the watch -- while Readiness, as its name humbly suggests, rates how "ready" you are for the day ahead based on the number of hours you slept and how active you were the previous day -- if you wear the watch to sleep at all.
Speaking of Fitbit, its mobile app has a new Running Dashboard that compares your past running activity to your current activity, breaking down every stat from distance to stride length, among many others. AI-powered running recommendations is another new feature, recommending different runs to go on based on your Readiness score, Target Load, and more. You can see the Running Dashboard for free, but if you want running recommendations from an AI, you need to pony up $80 a year to access it on Fitbit Premium.
The best budget Android smartwatch
OnePlus Watch 2R
- Rugged, durable design
- Easily replaceable watch bands
- Fluid interface with Wear OS
- Exceptional battery life and charging
- No features locked to OnePlus phones
- Average looks
- Unimpressive health features
- No backup and restore via cloud
Specification: | |
Case size | 48mm |
Battery | 48 hours 100 hours (Smart Mode) 12 days (Power Saver Mode) |
Connectivity | Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi |
The OnePlus Watch 2R is a great option for an Android smartwatch if you're on a tight budget. It doesn't have everything its original, luxurious counterpart has, but it still has the important features you need to track your fitness and health.
The circular case has the 1.43-inch colorful display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, a brightness of 1,000 nits in High Brightness Mode, and comes pre-installed with 20 watch faces, which fade into dark mode under sunlight if you have Always-On Display enabled. It also has two crown buttons on the side instead of one crown and an angled, depressed button like the OnePlus Watch 2 does to give it the aesthetic of an old-school analog watch. The functions on both buttons can be customized to suit your preferences, but the Home (top button) and power (bottom button) functions are immutable.
In addition to tracking over 100 different workouts, and can automatically detect when you're walking, running, swimming, cycling, and picks up movements on exercise equipment. However, they won't start automatically tracking those workouts unless you enable automatic tracking for them separately in Settings. But even then, the workout stats are not always accurate.
The battery life is excellent, but how long it lasts depends on usage. The minimum amount of time the battery runs for is 48 hours. At most, it lasts 10 days if you set the watch on Power Saver Mode, which is especially useful if you're out in the woods somewhere and need to contact someone in case of an emergency.
The best Samsung Android smartwatch
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7
- Attractive, enduring design
- Choice of size, color, and band
- Fast processor
- Bright, clear screen
- All the durability you need
- One-day battery life
- Slow charging
- Some features require a Samsung phone
Specification: | |
Case size | 40mm 44mm |
Battery | 30 hours (always-on display) |
Connectivity | Bluetooth |
If you recently bought the Samsung Galaxy S25, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is the perfect accessory to go with it. The 40mm and 44mm models come with a green band, but the former carries the cream band while the latter has the silver band, so the size you pick depends on your aesthetic. There's a miniscule 0.2-inch size difference between their AMOLED screens -- 1.3 inches for the 40mm and 1.5 inches for the 44mm -- so you won't have too much trouble reading your health stats and notifications.
The most important upgrades to take advantage of is the supreme accuracy of the Galaxy Watch 7's BioActive sensor. It has more LEDs compared to the Galaxy Watch 6 and other features that use AI to record workouts and calorie burns with greater accuracy, and a dual-frequency GPS system to accurately track your runs and walks in areas that otherwise lack coverage, like forests and mountains. When you track your sleep, you immediately wake up to your Sleep Score and Energy Score, both of which are calculated based on how well you slept and how ready you are for the day ahead. It can also detect sleep apnea, as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave it approval to have such technology. If it does detect sleep apnea, share your results with your doctor so you can come up with a management plan.
If you want to reduce your tendency to reach for your phone to dismiss notifications and control music, the watch has a "double pinch" gesture to help you do just that by pinching your fingers together. That's one less minute scrolling through your phone and more time for everything else, including staying on top of your physical health.
The best dual-screen Android smartwatch
TicWatch Pro 5
- Clever dual-screen system
- Four-day battery life
- Highest-performance smartwatch
- Clean and reliable software
- Quality haptic feedback
- One size and color only
- No cellular option
- Fitness-tracking bug requires fixing
Specification: | |
Case size | 50mm |
Battery | 80 hours |
Connectivity | Bluetooth |
The TicWatch Pro 5 is the biggest smartwatch of all the others on this list with a 50mm case and 1.43-inch OLED screen. It's also the first in the TicWatch Pro series to run on a combination of Wear OS and the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chip, delivering high performance to your smartwatch.
When we say the TicWatch 5 Pro has dual screens, we mean the screen has a dual-layer display. The first layer is the OLED screen that is active when you're using the smartwatch to access notifications, health stats and other important information with the twist of the crown, while the second is a monochrome layer that deals with the Always-On Display. The backlight lights up in blue when you raise your wrist, but while running, walking, cycling, or doing any other workout, the color changes to yellow, orange, purple and red depending on your heart zone, helping you save battery power.
Because of the second layer of the screen is so energy efficient, the battery life of the watch lasts for up to 80 hours so you don't have to worry about the watch being dead when you wake up the next morning. It charges really fast, too, giving you a 65% charge in 30 minutes.
The best luxury Android smartwatch
Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4
- Big and bold design
- Choice of luxurious materials
- More than two-day battery
- Sharp screen and unique watch faces
- Wear OS 3 transforms the software
- No in-depth health tracking
- Can't take phone calls
Specification: | |
Case size | 42mm 45mm |
Battery | 24 hours |
Connectivity | Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi |
For those who don't want to ditch their trusty Rolex for a smartwatch for the sake of tracking their health at the behest of their doctors, the Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 will help you ease into the idea of wearing a smartwatch -- if you have an extra $1,450 in your bank account. This smartwatch combines the luxurious beauty of a classic stainless-steel watch with a ceramic bezel with the technology necessary to keep track of your vitals.
Activity tracking on the Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 is restricted to heart rate monitoring and workout tracking. It doesn't monitor your blood oxygen levels nor does it have an electrocardiogram. It doesn't tell you what areas of fitness you should improve on, making the watch look more of a fashion statement than a true smartwatch. Which is fine if you're not as physically active as others to begin with.
The Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4100+, which gives it excellent performance for the lack of advanced activity tracking features that it has. It has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows you to see any notifications that pop up, but won't allow you to take phone calls like most smartwatches do. Despite that, this watch is great for people who don't like the idea of smartwatch but want to see what the hype is about in baby steps.

The best hybrid smartwatch for Android
ScanWatch Nova Brilliant
- For Android or iPhone users
- Excellent Withings app
- Old school + New school
- Somewhat pricey
- Face size might be too small for some
Specification: | |
Case size | 39mm |
Battery | 30-day battery life |
Connectivity | Bluetooth connect to iOS or Android |
The Withings ScanWatch Nova Brilliant is a premium hybrid smartwatch that blends classic analog watch design with modern health tracking features. Our reviewer, a long-time Apple Watch user, was impressed by the ScanWatch Nova Brilliant's elegant appearance, which showcases refined dress-watch styling, a white dial, a sub-dial for fitness tracking, and an OLED display for notifications and health information.
Key strengths of the watch include its impressive 30-hour battery life, sapphire glass protection, and a Super-LumiNova coating that makes the hands glow in the dark. It is available in two luxurious colors: Titanium, Silver, and Gold.
Although it is priced higher than standard smartwatches like the Galaxy Watch 7 and Apple Watch Series 10, at $600, our reviewer believes it offers good value for those who want smartwatch capabilities without the typical digital look. This makes it a great choice for users who prefer a more traditional timepiece aesthetic while still wanting health-tracking functionality.
